Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has a dimpled, lumpy appearance. It usually affects the buttocks and thighs but can also occur in other areas. Cellulite occurs when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin.

What is cellulite?
Cellulite is a condition that effects predominantly women, but can also be found in men.
It is actually a result of tightened connective tissue, not fat, which is why it is not something that only effects fat people!
Imagine that you had a pillow that you wrapped gently in a piece of netting. The pillow would still look flat.
Now if you pull the netting tight around the pillow, you will have pockets of the pillow that will billow out between the netting.
The netting is like your connective tissue, and the pillow is similar to fat deposits. Obviously, the more fat you have the bigger the effect, however even if you have a small amount of fat in this outer layer, just under your skin, you will still have a dimpled effect.
Liposuction is no help with cellulite, as it removes deeper layers of fat, not the layer that causes the dimpling effect.
Can we do anything to reduce the appearance of cellulite?
Cellulite can be treated, but not permanently.
EndyMed technology uses radio frequency combined with deep massage and suction to soften your connective tissue and release the fat which can be reabsorbed by your body. This is an extremely safe, effective and enjoyable procedure! Our patients tell us that it feels like having a warm massage, and some even fall asleep while being treated!
We recommend 3 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart for results that will continue to improve for months!
How does it work?
Deep heating of the fat cells, their surrounding connective tissue and the underlying dermal collagen fibres. This type of efficient heating and vacuum stimulate the growth of new and better collagen and elastin which results in localized reduction in skin laxity, body volume and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture.
How long does cellulite treatment take?
We ask you to allow 40 minutes for each cellulite reduction treatment. Consider it as a 40 minute massage in a warmly lit room with calming music – that will work on your cellulite at the same time!
How quickly will I notice a change?
Gradual improvement of the treated area can be seen following the first treatment – with the skin surface of the treated area feeling smoother and firmer. After 4 weeks you should start to see improvements, with continual reduction experienced for approximately 10 weeks.
How much and how often?
You will need 3 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart for treatment of cellulite on your thighs and buttocks. Please see our price list here for cost of this treatment.
